The extensive range of HMIs has been extended by a modular computer system. For applications such as routers or gateways or decentralised computer applications, no screen is normally needed in operating mode. Our Rail PC has been created precisely for such applications, as it features different hardware interfaces (serial, LAN, forWLAN, GSM, GSM-R, etc.) and can thus also serve as a protocol converter (with the appropriate software installed). But this computer can also be used as a data distribution centre (“Mini MIP”) or a “data collector and distributor”. The VC1900 is based on the well-tried modules for HMIs with the current BayTrail Intel processor generation (E38xx). This means that software created for HMIs can run on the Rail PC with no changes necessary. In order to provide maximum protection against disturbances from the on-board power system, the VM1 series is equipped with a maintenance-free integrated UPS and is buffered by means of high-capacity condensers (double-layer capacitors) in an extended temperature range. In addition, the UPS also ensures safe shutdown in the event of a sudden disconnection of the on-board power system that was not actually intended (main switch “off” or during maintenance work).
Most of the so-called Box PCs, even though specified for rail technology, do not usually allow for vertical mounting. With the VC1900, this disadvantage is avoided thanks to specially arranged cooling fins (passive cooling concept, without fan), irrespective of whether it is mounted horizontally or vertically, it will always operate in a reliable manner. In this way, our Rail PC fits even into the smallest niches.

For modular solutions (computers with remote display), we offer highly reliable rail-compatible video monitors. The digital information on the TFT monitor is displayed via a standardised signal input, and for the VC1500 via a display port interface (in short: DP). Other input signals, such as DVI, HDMI or VGA, can also be visualised by means of monitors from the VM series.
As usual with GERSYS, the video monitors work in a voltage range from 24 to 110V of nominal voltage. Automatic brightness control is installed by default, and an additional manual control option for display brightness via three keys is available also.
The monitors are attached via a VESA rear mounting mechanism; monitors can, however, also be supplied as built-in devices.
Optionally, versions with terminal functionality, that is, integrated touch screen or keypad, can be ordered also
InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction. The eleventh InnoTrans will take place at Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 20th to 23th September 2016.

At the surveillance audit by DEKRA in March this year, we again achieved a very positiv result. This was the fourth time in a row since our quality management system has been evidenced by the IRIS certification in 2012.
Also this time the evaluation figures have been improved further.
